Random thoughts on Capitalism and Roles NGOs play

Has the capitalism taken over socialism .. Is socialism a complete  failure .. if you look at China’s advances and tremendous growth … you will be have to rethink on the same..

I will say that you should have best of both the worlds.. Capitalism ..privatisation.. these are the buzz words for progress … if you look at capitalist countries .. there has been lotsa competition among companies .. private ..public sector units… everywhere.. where the privatisation has reached.. the output has changed … improved in multiples ..

But then are those benefits reaching the poorest of the poor .. hey not really … if this happens then we can say capitalism has actaully succeeded in all respects …

Some of the benefits of Capitalism are .
1.It involves competition so the efficiency is improved..
2.Every individual has to deliver with quality … survival of the fittest..
        3.Talent is always rewarded.

If we combine all these benefits with some of the principles from Socialism .. the world can really be a better place to live in. If these capitalists are willingly or forcebly involved in some of the social causes  … helping out poor … ..promoting talented…then I think the wealth is moving in the right directions .. all across  to the root…

The other day I was looking at the figures of the death toll taken by cold wave in North India.. Hundreds of people have died .. and we are here sitting and looking at those figures helplessly…

We can’t blame the government out here .. they can’t reach out everywhere … or may be can’t have enough funds to take care of all these natural disasters… But I can see that the NGOs can play a  greater role out here…

The help generated by these organizations during kargil war… Tsunami crising …Mumbai rains… was tremendous .. There is a large community of donors .. who are always ready to help … in fact there is no scarsity of resources in india… wat we lack most of the time is direction… initiative ..

If the Government makes sure that the NGOs get necessary infrastruture .. and facilities … and if the NGOs act in tandom with the calamity … having good communication ..and centralised management of these crisis … at Center,State,NGOs and personal levels… most of these crising can be handled…

There is a movement … but what we need is organising them…
